What is the turn-around time for repairs?
Due to high demand, we currently have to quote four to six weeks for microphone repairs. However, many microphones can be completed in less time and “rush jobs” can be accommodated in two weeks for an additional charge of $100.00 per microphone.
How much does a re-ribbon cost?
Putting a new ribbon into all AEA microphones and most vintage RCA microphones currently cost $165.00 USD. Re-ribboning Coles/STC 4038 and 4104 currently costs $197.00 USD, because we have to import replacement ribbons from Coles. All prices are subject to change. Please have a look at the Microphone Repair Form for additional information and shipping instructions. Please note that for all non-warranty work, at the time the repair order is placed we require a valid credit card to secure the order prior to beginning the work on your microphone. The credit card will not be charged until the job is complete.
